Track Name: Let it darken down
Let it darken down
Covered all in cloud and thunder
Did you run aground or did you just run out
Have you had enough
Baby, are you going under
Can you make the sound
Just let it darken down
Track Name: Functional
The money’s on the bar
the clock on the wall says time to go
You climb into the car and
you’re driving home with one eye closed

She left the light on
and got into bed quite alone
In the clear morning dawn
you swear that you will, but you won’t

A note under the door
and you’re trying to remain composed
But that’s no way to be
now that you’re running unopposed

‘Cause you got it wrong
and I think that you knew all along
And now that she’s gone
you’ve no idea how you’re meant to keep on
Track Name: I will surprise you
You step outside to watch the dark roll in
You’re killing time until the night begins
But once it comes, you’ll wonder where it went
One of these days, you’ll surprise me

I’m selling tickets aboard my train of thought
Turn every problem into a Gordian knot
And I’ll never know as much as I forgot
But one of these days, I’ll surprise you

You’re out there waiting in the parking lot
Trying to figure out the mess you’ve got
But you still can’t remember why you’d thought
That one of these days, I would surprise you

So I’ll walk around and talk to my dead friends
I’m killing time until the night begins
And once it starts, no telling how it ends
But one of these days, I will surprise you
